What is MFC

Melamine Faced Chipboard(MFC) stands as a cornerstone in modern interior design and furniture manufacturing. Renowned for its versatility, durability, and aesthetic appeal, MFC has become the go-to choice for architects, designers, and homeowners alike.

01 MFC Materials

MFC An engineered wood product made from particle board (particleboard) coated with decorative melamine-resin-impregnated paper. Made from wood pellets or wood chips, mixed with a synthetic resin, usually urea formaldehyde, to act as a binder. Other additives may also be included to improve moisture resistance, flame retardancy and other properties. The resin coated wood particles are formed into a loose mat or sheet through a dry molding process, which is subjected to high temperatures (150-200°C) and pressure (3-4 MPa) in a hot press, heating and pressurizing the resin, bonding the particles together to form a solid plate, and the hot press plate is cooled and stabilized to prevent warping.
